My younger brother Tommy (Bomber)Bonacci has World titles in both stand-up and sitdown skies. The stand ups had the sport growing to fast for the IJSBA to even handle the amount of racers. The runabouts killed the sport of jet-ski racing. Anyone who raced back in the late 80's or early 90's knows exactly what im talking about. And stand ups are where the real talent and skill shows period. Runabouts are a complete joke when used for racing.

clearly u hav never bin to a race.... runabouts are the main event..... i ride a standup.... i no what its like and what u guys are sayin but runabouts are just more popular and fun......

Standups take so much skill to be able to balance, lean over and carve the ski while racing. and lets see you do a barrel roll or a backflip on some stupid ass 3 seater. oh wait.. you can't. The only valid reason you have to talk shit on standups is because your pussy hurts because you can't ride a standup.

runabouts outsell standups 20 to 1 because no one can ride standups. they're for wakeboarders, fat people and families. anyone can hang on the the fucking big ass ski and race it around buoys. They do catch attention because they're so damn fast, but what skill does it take? None.. anyone can get on a runabout and be quick because it's all the ski and no rider. The real racing is the standup racing. it's what PWC racing revolves around and it's the main event out of it.

the only reason you can see the crowds in the stand up vids is cos the action is so boring they thought the crowd mite be more interesting to video. good luck finding a vid that turns to the crowd on a runabout race

fucked it really. runabouts out sell stands ups 20 to 1...next time your at a race watch the crowd. when the runabouts race everyone is watchin. watch the crowd when stand ups race and everyone is gettin food or going for a piss, because people preferr runabouts over stand ups. if anything they haved helped the sport more than stand ups ever will.......factS!!!!

hey buddy! a full G.Pstand-up is only about 15mph slower then a open run-about.and theres a alot more involved when racing standups, not saying anything bad to the runabout riders as there good athletes but theres alot more involved in stand-ups! and they started this sport , runabouts fucked it !!!
